New Frontiers

Joe Clark with Antipodes at OceanGate Inc. in Woodinville.

OceanGate kicked off the new year with the acquisition of a new submersible, Lula, opening a new operational facility in Woodinville, Washington, and an open house for investors, friends, and family. Among those in attendance at the open house was inventor, technologist, and innovator Joe Clark, co-founder and chief executive officer of Seattle-based Aviation Partners Inc., and founder and chairman of joint venture Aviation Partners Boeing.

The new Woodinville operational facility is co-located with aviation-industry innovator Dynon Avionics, which designs, manufactures, and distributes state-of-the-art glass-cockpit avionics for experimental and light-sport aircraft. We are excited to share facilities and expertise with their team. The expansive warehouse space gives us ample room to display and maintain both of OceanGate’s submersibles – our flagship Antipodes, and newly acquired Lula. Over the next few months Antipodes will undergo her comprehensive ABS Special Survey under the guidance of VP of Operations Chris Hartman. Our new addition, Lula, will also undergo upgrades and enhancements at the Woodinville facility.

OceanGate continues to maintain operational assets in Miami, and our marketing teams in Washington, DC and South Florida allow us to maintain a presence for East Coast and Gulf Coast clients.

As OceanGate launches into 2013, internationally recognized as the “Year of the Ocean,” we will continue our mission to provide manned submersible solutions to open the oceans for exploration, research, and discovery.
